The Santa Specials train starts at Brechin Station with the total journey taking about one hour (an eight mile round trip) including a ten minute stopover at Bridge of Dun Station. Santa will visit each carriage on the train with a present for every child, adults will also receive a gift from the train staff.
To check availability, click on the date required opposite, then the departure time and the "book now" button. This will take you to the train seating plan. If none available click the "back button" to bring back to the departure screen.
We are sorry but we cannot accommodate buggies/prams etc. on the train. We have areas at Brechin station where these may be left.
On platform one at Brechin Station there is a Buffet serving hot & cold food together with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soup, cold drinks and a selection of snacks. The buffet is open from 10:30am to 4:00pm. Also on platform one is The Shop which is open from 10:30am to 3:15pm. (on some days this may be to 4:00pm).
At Bridge of Dun, the Buffer Stop Buffet will be open from 11:00am to 3:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Here we have to offer soup, sandwiches, snacks, hot & cold drinks. Click here for sample menu.

Tickets for these services may be purchased in advance online, no need to show at Ticket Office on the day - will be inspected on the train. (booking fees apply.) If travelling with family or friends why not book as one booking as this will reduce the booking fee.
Tickets may also be purchased on the day at Brechin Station but this is subject to availability. To avoid disappointment please book in advance. Online bookings are taken up to one hour before departure.

Evening Events: For these services the wheelchair/disabled saloon is used as the bar but there is still ramped access or assistance to seating.
