Your ticket includes access to all activities throughout the day, including:

Journey Information

Train journeys between Brechin and Bridge of Dun take approximately 20 minutes.

There are two ticket types available:

Direct Return

Travel from Brechin to Bridge of Dun and return on the same train.

Open Return

Travel between stations and return on a later service of your choice. Open Return tickets also allow access to the classic bus service.

Please ensure you select the correct ticket type when booking.

Seating Options

Standard Seating

Allocated seats in traditional railway coaches arranged around tables.

Private Compartments

A private compartment for up to 8 passengers, available on Direct Return journeys only.

Disabled Access Saloon

Wheelchair-accessible seating is available in Coach C on Direct Return services from Brechin.


Facilities

Brechin Station

The main hub for activities and attractions.

Facilities include:

  • Café and BBQ

  • Hot and cold refreshments

  • Gift shop stocked with Thomas & Friends™ merchandise

  • Toilets and visitor facilities

Brechin Station opens from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

Bridge of Dun Station

Facilities include:

  • Picnic area

  • Free parking

  • Access to the classic bus service

Bridge of Dun Station is open from 10:00am to 3:30pm.

Please note that card payments are not available at Bridge of Dun Station.

Limited on-site parking and on-street parking nearby.

Bridge of Dun

Free parking available at the station.

Free Classic Bus Service

Open Return passengers can enjoy a complimentary classic bus service linking:

  • Bridge of Dun Station

  • House of Dun

  • Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre

  • Montrose High Street

  • Montrose Railway Station
